This isn't all that great for removig hair from the root but will warm you up for the real deal ep's (get you used to the sting of the things). I don't mind the pain, it lets me know when I'm using a good ep., again this is good prepping tool to get you ready for what's to come, and help you decide on whether you should upgrade or stick with you old hair removal method. BE SURE TO EXFOILIATE AND MOISTURIZE DAILY OR YOU WILL ENCOUNTER MAJOR INGROWN PROB.'S -- Goog for beginers

It's more than I expected. Dosn't weight too much. At the first time hurt a little but before I used to it. -- I like it too much

I just used my epilator for the first time yesterday. The noise this little thing made scared me more than anything. I used it on my legs. The pain wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I used the starter head at regular speed. I thought it was time consuming and it broke more hairs than it pulled out. I feel like I have some stubble on my legs. I will definitely use it again. It was also hard getting the hairs on my shin. I can't wait to try it on my underarms (when I get enough guts to do it). -- First time epilator user

I started off with the epilation head with the reduced number of tweezers in addition to the 4-way moving pain softener. I am now just using the standard epilation head but only on the reduced speed not the normal speed. It is a little painful, less painful than waxing in my opinion. I simply use a piece of ice after use and rub on some sensitive skin lotion and have had the best results. I bought a second braun 3240 in the event that mine wears out, I will have a spare. (I heard this model might not be available at a later date). I only have to use this about once a month for the upper lip and have yet to brave using it on my legs or underarms. I love, love, love, this epilation system. -- No More Waxing!!!

I had used a Braun Silk-epil before; and I was so satisfied with it that I decided to buy the same product the same brand for a second time after having my old one for more than four years. definitely try it if you have never done before! a cost much less than that of wax and a skin much softer than shaved! -- thanks to Braun!
